Free Rides to Vaccine Clinic Sites With Proof of Appointment

Lake Erie Transit is providing free bus transportation to and from area vaccine clinics for residents and workers in Bedford, Frenchtown and Monroe with proof of appointment, the company stated. LET is joining the Michigan Public Transit System’s “Ride to Your Dose of Hope” as well as more than 450 public transit companies in 41 states providing this service. To ride free to the first vaccination appointment, riders must show the bus driver the phone text from vaccine officials. For the second shot, riders must present their vaccine card with appointment scheduled. The offer covers all LET services.
